Superintendent

Dr. Jason Lohr joined the Kiski Area School District in June 2000 as a classroom teacher in the Social Studies Department at the high school where he taught Sociology and U.S. History. 

In 2009, Dr. Lohr was named assistant principal intern at the Intermediate School and was later named assistant principal in the spring of 2010. In July 2010, Jason was named head principal of the Intermediate School and held that position until the June of 2016.
 
In July 2016, he began serving in his current role as the Assistant to the Superintendent for K-12 Education, Administration, and Federal Programs.  In June of 2022 Dr. Lohr became the Assistant Superintendent, and remains in that role currently.  

Before joining the Kiski Area Cavaliers, Mr. Lohr had previously served the Jefferson County Board of Education as a special education teacher at Charles Town Junior High located in Charles Town, West Virginia.

He completed his Doctor or Education in Administration and Leadership Studies and Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2020), Master of Education in School Administration with K-12 Principal Certification from California University of Pennsylvania (2009), Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (History) from Toccoa Falls College (1998), and High School Diploma at Hempfield Area School District in 1994. 

Dr. Lohr and his wife Sharon are proud parents of two sons, Noah and Micah.
