| Criteria for "Advanced" Classes |
|
1. Classes titled as "Advanced" are offered in both 7th and 8th grade. The areas in which they are offered are Mathematics, Science, and English.
2. Those students identified as meeting the criteria through standardized test scores, placement exams, earned subject grades as well as school psychologist and teacher recommendation may be enrolled.
3. The maximum number of students permitted in each section of a class designated as "Advanced" is 15.
4. The maximum number of 15 students per class will be exceeded if there are more than 15 students who fit criteria 2.

- Student usage of the library. (Monday thru Friday)
- Peer tutoring program in the cafeteria. (Monday thru Thursday)
- Support classes for mainstreamed Learning Support students. (Monday thru Friday)
- Team meetings for the Student Assistance Program. (Friday)
- Student store in the cafeteria. (Tuesday, Thursday)
- Remedial help and test make-up for students scheduled on an "as needed" basis by individual teachers. (Monday thru Friday)
- Vocal ensemble rehearsal. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Jazz band rehearsal. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Make-up of missed Vocal lessons. (Monday), Instrumental (Friday).
- Gym class make-up. (Wednesday)
- Fitness Club. (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
- Student Council meeting. (Every other Friday)
- School newspaper staff meetings. (Thursday)
- National Math League Contest. (As needed)
- Math Counts team practice. (As needed)
- Honor Roll Breakfasts. (Three times/year)
- Guitar Club. (Friday)
- Keyboarding make-up. (Tuesday)
- Team Read. (Monday)
