Originally from Irwin, PA, Jeffrey Jackson attended Hempfield Area High School before heading south to pursue a future in education. Mr. Jackson attended East Carolina University where he graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. After graduation, Mr. Jackson began work as an elementary physical education teacher as well as high school football and wrestling coach in Roxboro, North Carolina. After four years, Mr. Jackson was promoted to the administrative ranks where he became an assistant principal. During his tenure as an elementary and high school principal, Mr. Jackson graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Leadership. He was one of 25 administrators in the state who also graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a certificate from the Principal's Executive Program for Higher Learning. After serving for three years as an assistant principal, he became the principal at Garden Elementary and Middle School in Louisburg, North Carolina. Now that Mr. Jackson is back in the area, he is excited to lead Vandergrift and Laurel Point Elementary Schools. Mr. Jackson and his wife, Michelle, enjoy swimming and walks to the park with their twins, Josef and Justine. |
