Effective immediately, the Kiski Area School District will be accepting applications for professional positions via the PA-Educator website. We would encourage all applicants to follow the directions provided on the PA-Educator website listed below.

The Kiski Area School District will give priority interviews to candidates in the PA-Educator applicant pool. If you are in the PA-Educator pool, please do not mail duplicate application packets directly to the Kiski Area School District.
For those interested in day-to-day substitute positions, please call 724-842-0450.
As a courtesy to qualified residents, alumni and those without computers, letters of interest accompanied with a copy of Pennsylvania certification are accepted by mail. However, residents and alumni are also encouraged to register with PA-Educator at www.pa-educator.net for consideration for positions. For those without internet access, please contact the Kiski Area Administration Office at 724-845-2022 for an alternative method for application.

Athletic Extracurricular Position Application
Applications for Athletic Extracurricular Positions are accepted year-round. Interested applicants may contact the Kiski Area Athletic Director at 724-842-0437 for additional information on the application process.
Day-to-Day Teacher Substitutes
Applications for day-to-day substitutes are accepted year-round. Interested applicants may contact the Kiski Area School District at 724-842-0450 for additional information on the application process.

may be obtained from the Kiski Area School District administration office, 240 Hyde Park Road, Leechburg, PA 15656 (mailing address: 200 Poplar Street, Vandergrift, PA 15690) or downloaded from this website. Complete the application form fully and return to the Kiski Area School District administration office or by mail to the address listed above. The return of your application to any other office besides to Mr. James R. Dick, Assistant Superintendent, will invalidate the application.
Your application will be placed on file and will be reviewed for a position on the basis of the date submitted. Your application will remain in the file for a period of one year unless you notify the school district in writing to have it reactivated.

As of April 1, 2007, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) will require an FBI Federal Criminal History Record for "prospective employees (including but not limited to administrators, teachers, substitutes, janitors, cafeteria workers, office employees) of public and private schools, Intermediate Units and area vocational-technical schools, including independent contractors and their employees and bus drivers, who have direct contact with children, must provide to their employer a copy of their Federal Criminal History Record that cannot be more than one (1) year old."

In accordance with the provisions of Act 34, a criminal history record information form must be submitted by the applicant. The criminal history record form must be first submitted to the Pennsylvania State Police. When the form has been returned by the Pennsylvania State Police, the original copy must be submitted to the school district. A photocopy is not acceptable. If you need the original for your files, a photocopy will be made at the district administration office after the original has been reviewed.

The Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance must be completed and first submitted to the Department of Public Welfare. When the form as been returned, the original copy must be submitted to the school district administration office after the original has been reviewed.

The employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) must be completed. This form substantiates citizenship. Copies of the documentation must be presented in person to the administration office in order that copies may be made and attached to the verification form.

The application must be fully completed and submitted with all of the above documents. Failure to submit all of the information as required will result in your application being considered invalid and being returned to you.
