Mr. Dan Smith was hired to the position of Director of Technology & Innovation to begin the 2022 calendar year. Mr. Smith started his career teaching social studies at Kiski Area High School, became the department chairperson for social studies in 2011 and was named the Supervisor of Technology Integration and Support in 2016.  After serving in that position for three years he became the assistant principal at Kiski Area Upper Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year.  In 2021, Mr. Smith was named an Pennsylvania Assistant Principal of the Year for Elementary Education, and subsequently became the Director of Technology and Innovation for the Kiski Area School District.
