Coach Berzonsky enters his 20th year as Kiski Area's cross country coach, where he has been teaching and coaching since 1999. An avid runner himself, Berzonsky possesses extensive knowledge about distance running that he has used to coach his athletes.
Berzonsky began his running career at Central Cambria, where he began running in 7th grade. In high school, he was a member of three conference championsip teams and one PIAA District 6 championship team. After high school, Berzonsky ran for Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a competitor on their cross country and track teams. Coach Berzonsky is currently a member of the Brooks Inspire Daily program for coaches and athletes.
As a cross country and track coach for Kiski Area, he has coached section, county, and WPIAL champions, as well as state medalists. Coach Berzonsky believes that hard work and dedication to the sport are the keys to successful distance running.
