Use of Facilities

The Kiski Area School District (KASD) recognizes that, while the primary purpose of its buildings, facilities, and grounds is to provide students with an exceptional learning environment, the School Board may make facilities available to individuals and community groups in accordance with Board Policy 707. Use of facilities must not interfere with the District’s educational programs.

 

Facility Use Requests are now processing using the ML Schedules Application.

  1. Create an ML Schedules™ Account (first‑time users).
  2. Log in and click “Submit a Facility Request.”
  3. Upload your Certificate of Insurance (COI) before submitting.
  4. Complete the online request form, including setup details and equipment needs.
  5. Monitor email notifications for approval status and any required fee payments.

The following information is provided to support this policy for Outside Organizations:

 

Facilities Use Categories

      • Outside Organizations – Community groups and individuals not formally affiliated with KASD.
      • Designated Youth Feeder Organizations – Arts/Athletics organizations officially recognized by the District.
      • Internal KASD Staff & Student Groups – Clubs, activities, or sports led by KASD employees.

 

Regulations and Pricelists

      • Facilities Use Process & Regulations document – review prior to submitting.
      • Current Pricelists for Outside and Designated Organizations.
      • Board Policy 707 – Use of School Facilities.

 

Insurance and Liability

All Outside and Designated Organizations must provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) listing Kiski Area School District as an additional insured. Requests without a valid COI will be denied.

 

The following information is provided to support this policy for Designated Organizations:

 

Designated Youth Feeder Organization for Arts/Athletics

If you are a Designated Youth Feeder Organization for Arts/Athletics, please contact the athletic director for the appropriate paperwork and fees (KASD 102-Designated Org). Please refer to the price list for fees associated with use of facilities for Designated Organizations.

 

Organization within the Kiski Area School District

If you are an employee who sponsors, directs, or coaches a KASD club, activity, or sport, you can access this document from our internal forms library (www.kiskiarea.com, Resources, Kiski Area Internal Forms, KASD 102 – Designated Org). This paperwork is needed to secure your space and to ensure that your event is on our calendar. Facility fees, if any, will be communicated to you by the District after your request is submitted.
