About Our District

The Kiski Area School District's four townships and five boroughs encompass 102.5 square miles of Westmoreland and Armstrong Counties. The district's borders extend from the Allegheny River to the Kiskiminetas River and is located approximately 33 miles northeast of metropolitan Pittsburgh.
Many of the 30,000 residents are engaged in professional, technical, and rural occupations. The families that make up Kiski Area are a mixture of people that have lived here for generations, to new and young families who are finding this area to be a perfect combination of suburban and rural living.
Included in the district are approximately 260 faculty members that serve 3,600 students in the three primary schools, one upper elementary school, one intermediate school, and one high school.
The district is a member of the Northern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center and is accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
