This is the first year for new Head Coach Aaron Albert at Kiski Area. He comes to us after serving the past two seasons as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Beaver Area HS (4A).   While in charge at Beaver, his Bobcat teams increased their win totals and team GPA’s in both years.

Albert is a 2002 graduate of Knoch HS. He captained and was named MVP of the Knights Baseball team that went 14-3, but was eliminated from playoff contention due to a loss to our Kiski Area Cavaliers.

After Knoch, Albert attended IUP. He broke the All-Time IUP Single Season records for hits, batting average, and games played in 2006. That year he posted an overall .447 average and lead the PSAC with a .519 conference batting average, while being named 1st Team All PSAC.

After his time at IUP, Albert served as an assistant baseball coach at Freeport and Highlands HS and also has coached and instructed many Summer teams, most recently serving as Head Coach for the 18U Steel Town Maulers travel Baseball program.

Albert also serves as an assistant on our KA football team, to which his father, Sam, is head coach.  Albert looks forward to now being a full member of the KA family in a year round capacity and bringing the tradition back to KA Baseball!

He resides in Pittsburgh’s Manchester District with his wife Danielle and their black cat Lucky.
