Director of Curriculum K-6 and Federal Programs
Before joining the team at Kiski, Mrs. Mather held the role of K-2 Academic Principal in the Chartiers Valley School District, as well as supporting K-12 Curriculum as the liaison for both ELA and Social Studies.
In 2013, Mrs. Mather joined the Freedom Area School District as a K-6 Instructional Coach. Her role changed when she became the district’s dean of students, focused on supporting intervention for kindergarten through eighth-grade students. In 2018 she was appointed to the position of K-4 Elementary Principal. Prior classroom experience extends K-8, specifically grades eight, three, and kindergarten.
Mrs. Mather holds two master's degrees in elementary education and reading from the University of West Virginia. She received her principal certification from Westminster College and has certifications in K-12 technology and N-3 early childhood.
She has presented at the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, focusing on the benefits of targeting motivation, stamina, and authentic assessment to guide instruction.
Mrs. Mather currently resides in Pine Township with her husband and two sons.
